Hi, Lovelies.
We are doing another romance Christmas book for day 5. Most Christmas themed books seem to be romances or murder mysteries. I really wish there were some fantasy Christmas books, like maybe some about Santa’s Elves or something. Also, Christmas books are kinda hard to find, but it’s been fun searching for some to read during the holiday season. Makes it feel more Christmasy especially when you are in the desert and it doesn’t seem very Christmasy.
Today’s book is called Love and Other Trainwrecks by Leah Konen. It’s an adorable young adult romance book.
Quick Summary
The book follows Noah and Ammy, both heading to New York for the holidays. Noah is trying to win back his first love. Ammy is struggling with her parent’s divorce and spending the holidays with her dad and his new family.
However, the train that both of them are on breaks down due to a snowstorm. The two set off on a journey through the storm to reach New York. Through their journey, they discover that love may be closer than they think.
But as the journey draws to an end, the two discover that they are linked in ways they didn’t understand, but could also be the downfall of their budding relationship.
What I really loved was the plot twist at the end of the book. It wasn’t as dramatic as the book made it, but it was still really fun that a romance book even had a plot twist that was kinda unexpected.
