Hi, Lovelies.
You know, I really should have read some holiday books ahead of time before I started this series, but I didn’t. I thought, “Oh, I’ve read a book a day before, I can do it for this,” Only problem, it’s hard to find holiday books in the middle of nowhere Arizona, especially good ones.
Like I read this book about Christmas from my online library. And I was going to do that one for this post. However, I can not in good conscience recommend it to you. I don’t really like to say bad things about books because I know that writing a book and getting it published is a feat in itself. I also know that someone out there liked it. But I cannot recommend it.
Instead, I’m going to recommend a book I haven’t read yet. I wouldn’t normally do this. As a rule, I don’t like to recommend books on my blog that I haven’t read yet, however, I don’t really have a lot of other options. So today, we’re doing The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter.
About The Book
I know Ally Carter mostly for her young adult spy books like The Gallagher Girls series and Embassy Row. She does an amazing job writing strong females and creating cool twists in her books.
So when I found out that she had written a holiday murder mystery, I definitely wanted to read it. However, I’m broke and none of my online libraries have it. (Whoops, they do have it. I just didn’t make the time to look for it. Hey! I’ve been very busy. Sleeping, eating, watching C-dramas, all the very important stuff) But I’m going to read it.
The book follows Maggie Chase and Ethan Wyatt, one who is into mysteries and the other into thrillers. Neither particularly like the other. The two get invited to a house party by a famous author. But when the author disappears, the two have to figure out what happens. As the stakes get higher, they have to decide who to trust and if they can depend on each other.
